Sen. Rick Scott Applauds Pres. Trump’s Bold Action, Works to Permanently Block CCP from Buying U.S. Land
July 15, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Senator Rick Scott joined Senators Tom Cotton, Kevin Cramer, and Katie Britt in introducing the Not One More Inch or Acre Act to block the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates from purchasing any public or private real estate in the United States. This bill gives the president clear authority to halt all future CCP land acquisitions and, where national security is at risk, force the divestment of property already under CCP control.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Communist China has chosen to be our enemy and seeks to destroy us and our way of life every chance they get. It’s alarming that CCP-linked entities have been quietly buying up U.S. farmland, often strategically located close to our military bases. That’s not a coincidence. It’s a threat to our national security.
After years of the Biden administration ignoring this growing danger, I’m glad to see President Trump, Secretary of DHS Noem, Secretary of Defense Hegseth, Secretary of Agriculture Rollins, and the entire administration taking bold action to stop it. I’m proud to stand with President Trump and my colleagues to build on these efforts in Congress with the Not One More Inch or Acre Act to permanently block the CCP from acquiring another inch of American soil.”
