WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Rick Scott joined Puerto Rican Governor Wanda Vázquez and Congresswoman Jenniffer González-Colón in Puerto Rico to receive a briefing from emergency management officials and meet with community leaders to discuss the ongoing efforts to rebuild and recover after the recent earthquakes. This is Senator Scott’s 11th visit to Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria devastated the island.
Senator Rick Scott said, “As Governor, I traveled to Puerto Rico regularly and did everything I could to help the island recover after Hurricane Maria. As Senator, I have vowed to be the voice for Puerto Rico in the Senate, and will continue to fight for our brothers and sisters on the island. I look forward to continuing to work with Congresswoman Jenniffer González-Colón and Governor Wanda Vazquez to ensure the island has all the resources it needs.”
